Elisabeth Doyle -- Disability Law Expert & International Keynote Speaker
Since joining PPSV, Elisabeth Doyle has focused her practice in the area of disability. She was a driving force behind the creation, development and success of DATA, and assists global business clients in keeping abreast of national and international legal and policy developments in the areas of accessibility and inclusion. Ms. Doyle assists in advising the U.S. Business Leadership Network, a coalition of businesses dedicated to increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Ms. Doyle has written extensively for clients regarding the new UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its impact on development, human rights, and global business and IT accessibility. She is also a member of the research committee of the G3ict, a flagship advocacy initiative of the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development. The focus of the research committee is the implementation of the accessible IT provisions of the UN Convention. Ms. Doyle has presented internationally on the employment provisions of the ADA and has been a panel presenter regarding the impact of the UN Convention.
Ms. Doyle is also a keynote speaker and presenter: In March 2008, she was invited by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour to speak at the country´s conference on its new law on disability regarding the employment provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. She was also a presenter in a recent panel presentation regarding the history and impact of the UN Convention, sponsored by the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities´ International Task Force, Easter Seals, the National MS Society, and the Association of University Centers in Disabilities.
Prior to joining PPSV, she served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, representing the New Jersey Departments of Education, Health, and Human Services, as well as the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
